This page explains what personal data Simple Webpages handles and your rights under UK GDPR.
Who Runs This Site
Simple Webpages is the data controller. You can contact us at [email protected].
What This Site Tracks
Nothing. No analytics, tracking, or cookies. You don't need to consent to anything to use this site. Fonts are served from this site directly, not via a third-party content delivery network (CDN).
What Happens When You Contact Us
When you email us, the message is delivered to our inbox so it can be read and replied to. We keep enquiry messages for as long as the conversation is active and a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Hosting and Server Logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, URL) for security and abuse prevention.
Where Your Data Goes
Cloudflare operates a global network, so data sent to them may be processed outside the UK. We rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Cloudflare's standard contractual safeguards for those transfers.
Email sent to us is hosted by Migadu , based in Switzerland. The UK government has granted Switzerland adequacy status, which permits straightforward transfers to processors based there.
No other processors are involved.
What We Hold About Clients
If you become a client, we hold the information you provide to build and maintain your site: business contact details, photos and copy you supply, opening hours, and payment details for the recurring fee. This is held only while you're a client plus a reasonable period for accounting and tax records, then deleted.
Lawful Basis
- Enquiries: legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us).
- Server logs: legitimate interests (site security and abuse prevention).
- Client records: contract for delivering the service.
- Financial records: legal obligation (HMRC retention).
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you,
- Ask for it to be corrected if it's wrong,
- Ask for it to be deleted,
- Object to or restrict how it's used,
- Ask for it in a portable format,
- Withdraw any consent you've given, where consent is the lawful basis.
We don't use automated decision-making or profiling. Email [email protected] to make any of these requests. If you're not happy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
